Owned and operated by Carlos Trivino and Ashley Kirkpatrick, Dulce Heaven is the result of a dream that has been years in the making, one rooted in family, flavour, and the joy of sharing something truly special with the community.

A Recipe for Community

The story of Dulce Heaven begins in a grandmother’s kitchen, where Carlos first discovered that great baking starts with simple, high quality ingredients and a lot of heart.

After moving to Palmerston over a decade ago, Carlos and Ashley quickly fell in love with the town’s close knit, welcoming spirit. One day, while walking downtown, they came across a space that sparked an idea, what if they created something of their own?

That “what if” moment turned into Dulce Heaven Café.

Now, just over a year later, the café has become part of daily life in the community. From after school treats to weekend coffee rituals, it’s a place where familiar faces return again and again, and where new ones are always welcomed.

What Sets the Experience Apart

At Dulce Heaven, everything is made with intention.

From carefully selected ingredients to small batch baking and thoughtfully crafted drinks, every item is designed to feel a little more special. It’s not just about offering coffee, desserts, or ice cream, it’s about bringing them together into one experience that feels both elevated and comforting.

If it’s your first visit, some favourites include the signature Bella & Jorge Roast coffee, perfectly paired with a Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie or a rich, buttery Pecan Bar, simple classics done exceptionally well.

Carlos and Ashley believe that small towns thrive on connection, and they’ve built their café around that idea, where every customer is greeted with a smile and every visit feels personal.

As downtown Palmerston continues to grow and evolve, including through the Full Steam Ahead project, your support of local businesses matters more than ever. While construction may bring temporary changes, the sense of home inside Dulce Heaven remains the same.
